Allen is the broker and co-owner of Shipman Partners, a boutique real estate firm he founded with his wife Melissa in 2010. Before dedicating himself to real estate full-time, Allen spent over 25 years leading engineering and operations teams in the telecom and technology sectors, holding executive roles including CEO, COO, and VP of Engineering. This background gave him invaluable experience managing complex projects, leading high-performing teams, and navigating sophisticated negotiations—skills that translate directly into exceptional client service.
Allen specializes in working with buyers and has guided nearly 100 families to successful home purchases. His analytical approach, combined with genuine care for his clients’ financial wellbeing, has earned him recognition as a top 5% buyers agent in the competitive Austin market. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University and is a Certified Negotiations Expert.
What truly distinguishes Allen is his comprehensive understanding of homes from the ground up. An avid home improvement enthusiast, he personally completed a full property flip—leveling a pier and beam foundation, replacing hardwood floors, installing a new HVAC system and roof, rebuilding the kitchen from cabinets to countertops, updating plumbing systems, and handling both interior and exterior finishing work. This hands-on experience means Allen can walk through a property and immediately identify both opportunities and potential issues that other agents might miss.

Melissa Shipman
Melissa is co-owner of Shipman Partners and a seasoned real estate professional with over 27 years of experience in the Austin market. With nearly 1,000 successful closings under her belt, she brings a depth of expertise that few agents can match.
Melissa’s career began with two of Austin’s top-performing real estate teams, where she quickly distinguished herself as an industry leader. Her achievements include being featured on the cover of Texas REALTORS magazine, serving as a key architect in developing Keller Williams’ acclaimed Contract to Close program, and advising on a national panel for Gary Keller’s Millionaire Real Estate Agent training workshop.
As Shipman Partners’ resident contracts expert and in-house listing specialist, Melissa has encountered—and successfully navigated—virtually every scenario the real estate world can present. Her clients benefit from this wealth of knowledge, along with her meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to protecting their interests.
Beyond real estate, Melissa is passionate about animal welfare, dedicating over 200 volunteer hours annually to the Austin chapter of Houston Chow Chow Rescue. She’s also a certified sound healer and enjoys collecting precious stones and crystals. At home, you’ll find her surrounded by love—sharing life with the family’s 90-pound German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees rescue mix and five rescue cats.
